1960s Mid-Century Modern Hand-Painted Ceramic Italian Vase by Bellaria
This vase is a fine example of Italian Mid-Century Modern ceramic design, combining functionality with a distinctive and artistic appearance. It has been used as a decorative piece, either on its own or as a vessel for flowers, adding a touch of modernist flair to any interior. The vase has a cylindrical shape with a slightly rounded top, giving it a sleek and modern look characteristic of the Mid-Century Modern aesthetic. It has two small, rectangular handles protruding from each side. The vase features a bold and playful design. The top half of the vase is predominantly a deep burgundy color, while the bottom half is black. The vase is adorned with vertical white stripes that run from top to bottom, creating a sense of height. Scattered across the surface are white circular dots with a smaller blue dot inside them, adding a touch of contrast and whimsy to the design. It is made from ceramic, which was a popular material for decorative vases during the 1960s. The glazing gives it a smooth and slightly glossy finish, typical of high-quality ceramics from that period. The vase is in very good condition.
