1930s Art Deco Wood, Chromed Metal and Glass French Picture Frame

This authentic French Art Deco photo frame is a masterclass in geometric elegance and harmonious material contrast. Crafted with a stepped architectural base made of rich, warm-toned polished wood, the design captures the sleek aesthetic that defined French decorative arts during the stream-line modern movement. The centerpiece consists of heavy glass panels with chamfered top edges, suspended effortlessly between two cylindrical wooden pillars. These vertical supports are reinforced with sleek, modern chrome metal fittings that hold the glass firmly in place while adding a subtle metallic gleam. Designed to display a portrait photograph between the glass layers, the floating effect highlights the photograph within while creating a airy, sculptural presence. In superb vintage condition, this exquisite piece preserves its original character, patina, and charm. Whether placed on a mantle, console table, or executive desk, it serves as both a functional picture frame and an eye-catching work of art—ideal for discerning collectors of French Art Deco decor and high-end vintage design.
