Dettagli del prodotto
This exceptional globular ceramic jug with an elegant loop handle is a prime example of Italian Art Deco design from the 1930s. It was crafted by the renowned manufacture I.C.A.P. (Industria Ceramica Angelo Pascucci) in Gualdo Tadino, Umbria—a historic hub of Italian majolica and ceramic excellence. The vase features a highly sophisticated and atmospheric decorative technique. The body is coated in a glossy, deep dark glaze with iridescent, almost metallic undertones. Using an early airbrush (stencil/mascheratura) technique, a striking silhouette landscape is brought to life in contrasting shades of acid yellow and pale green. The figurative motif evokes a poetic, rural Italian scene deeply tied to the Novecento Italiano aesthetic. It depicts a traditional Italian hamlet with a prominent tower or campanile, flanked by stylized cypress trees and the silhouette of a traveler on horseback. The clean, geometric shapes and high-contrast color palette make this a standout piece of early 20th-century European decorative art.
