Dettagli del prodotto
This refined early 20th-century Italian Art Nouveau mannequin bust captures the sophisticated transition from Stile Liberty to early Art Deco elegance. Masterfully sculpted in papier-mâché, the figure features finely molded finger-wave hair, delicate hand-painted facial features, and captivating inserted glass eyes that impart a remarkable depth and realistic presence. The bust’s stylized torso is rendered in soft sage-green tones with draped architectural lines and rests upon an integrated rectangular pedestal base ornamented with graphic period motifs. Historically utilized for high-end millinery display, this piece originates from the renowned Cappelleria e Berretteria Natale Capitanio in Como, an official distributor of G.B. Borsalino hats. Preserved in very good vintage condition, it displays an authentic time-earned patina with minor surface craquelure and gentle wear appropriate to its age, making it a compelling sculptural centerpiece for discerning collectors of Italian decorative arts, fashion history, and early 20th-century commercial design. It's in lovely vintage condition
