A 1900 silver plated oval tray designed by Albert Kohler and Cie for WMF, twin handled, octagonal oval form embossed with geometric diamond corners and whiplash handles. Richly decorated with embossed patterns that combine the lyrical curves of Art Nouveau but at the same time hinting of the clean , geometric lines that would become the hallmark of “Art Deco”. the tray is in original condition, with normal signs of use and age all visible on the photos.
