Two Blue, brown and gold lacquered wood columns hand-crafted in Italy in late 19th century, they were in a noble Sicilian palace at the four corners of a large hall, there are 4 columns available and they are sold in pairs. They exhibit characteristics associated with the Louis XVI design aesthetic, which emerged in the late 18th century during the reign of King Louis XVI of France. This style is marked by a departure from the extravagance of the Rococo period, embracing neoclassical influences, symmetry, and refined elegance. The fake marble effect lacquered wood has consistent signs of use and age. This finish not only adds to the visual appeal but also provides protection to the wood. The columns have an overall sense of grace and elegance, the construction of the columns reflect a high level of skill and attention to detail.
