Two amazing pair of chest of drawers hand-crated in Italy in the late 19th century in the Louis XV style. The chests of drawers come from a Sicilian noble palace, all four were placed in a large hall, they are in original condition with signs of use and age and are sold in pairs, two pairs available. The Louis XV style was a design movement that flourished during the 18th century. It was characterized by ornate and graceful furniture with curved lines, intricate detailing, and a focus on asymmetry. The style was known for its elegance and opulence, featuring decorative elements such as rococo motifs, floral patterns. During the 19th century, there was a revival of interest in earlier styles, and various historical revivals. The chests of drawers have curved fronts and sides, giving them an elegant and whimsical appearance. The use of light blue lacquer with pink and green floral motifs was typical of Louis XV style, the wood top is decorated with fake green marble. The curved legs ending in a goat's leg, this adds to the overall sense of elegance and movement in the design.
